By choosing a Casino night, the organising committee of any club/charity have an event which will allow all members and their guests to have a fun filled and memorable evening.
Obviously, the amount of money you make will rely entirely on your ticket sales. This can be helped by asking local business men or businesses to sponsor a Casino Table. In return you might offer some free tickets for the event. You could also offer them the opportunity to advertise and promote their business as they wish on the night. If the committee can manage to get all the Casino tables sponsored, then their profit for the event will be greater. In any case, we will be happy to give you guidance on this.
As a committee, you will know the importance of selling tickets for the event. The tickets may be priced to suit and should be aimed at achieving the number you require for the night. We can tailor the price of the ticket to the amount /value of chips that they receive.
On arrival, your guest will present their ticket at the entrance table/cash desk, where it will be exchanged for “play money”. This money can be exchanged for playing chips at any of the Casino tables.
Should the guest run out of chips during the night, he or she may buy more at the cash desk.
On the entrance table (cash desk) there will be a sheet explaining how the evening works and an explanation sheet of how each game is played. Each guest may freely help themselves to this information. The croupier at each table can answer any further questions that a player may have.
An idea for those who cannot come on the night of the event, is that the organisers could hold a roulette raffle ie; sell the numbers 0-37 @ £1, £5 or £10. When all the numbers are sold, the wheel is spun and whatever number comes up is the winner of for eg. 50% of the money (or whatever the committee decides).
This gives the option to the people who can’t buy a ticket may buy a number.
The Casino will last for 2-3 hours- start time and finish will be stated on the ticket. When the buzzer goes to signal that time is up, the guests will be asked to cash in at the table they are at. The croupier at that table will fill out a return form stating the players name and value of their chips. This is then circulated with the other tables. The winner is the player with the highest value of chips. Prizes may be given for further placings.
The prize can be anything from a bottle of champagne to a car but it cannot be cash. Again, this is something that we would advise the committee to try and get sponsored.
We at Dactylus Casino will be glad to guide you through every step of planning for the event. We can advise how many tables you will need and give prices and available dates. We will also provide posters to help advertise. But, in any case, your first step is to contact us for a friendly, no obligation, informative chat.
